Newport News Lands Major Maufacturing Expansion

Virginia's manufacturing sector received a significant boost this year as Annandale Millwork and Allied Systems Corporation announced an $11.5 million expansion in Newport News. The family-owned company, along with Frogale Lumber Supply, expects to create 154 new jobs while strengthening Virginia's forestry and construction supply chains. The new facility will manufacture roof trusses, floor trusses, structural wall panels, and custom millwork products that support residential and commercial construction throughout the region. Beyond the direct job creation, the company has committed to purchasing more than $6 million in Virginia-grown forest products over the next three years, creating additional economic impact across the Commonwealth. The investment demonstrates Newport News' continued ability to attract advanced manufacturing and industrial operations that support both regional growth and Virginia's housing market.
