Economic Forecast

On Friday, June 6, 2025, the Virginia Peninsula Chamber hosted its annual Economic Forecast Mid-Year Breakfast in partnership with Old Dominion University’s Dragas Center for Economic Analysis & Policy. This event brought together business leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders to hear analysis on the state of our economy and forecasts about the future.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Robert McNab and Dr. Vinod Agarwal, who shared information on the national, state, and regional economies. They addressed key topics such as inflation, employment, consumer sentiment, and industry trends. They addressed tariff concerns at the Port of Virginia, rising housing prices with declining sales, and the hospitality sector’s ongoing recovery from 2020.
